In 1921, in London, is arrogant and skeptical Florence Cathcart known for discovering the fraud and helping the police to arrest the scammers. Foreigner Robert Mallory tells her that the director of a boarding school in Smoke Ford invited her to travel to Cumbria to investigate the mind is afraid of the students to death.
